I just learned on the news early this morning that the US President’s daughter Jenna Bush got married to Henry Hager in Texas. I didn’t really follow their story but I have seen them on the news a few times before when they got engaged. As what I’ve heard, a few if not most first daughters of previous presidents got married in the White House while Jenna Bush preferred her wedding by the lake in her father’s ranch. With the security and press-free reception, I guess they had a nice, elegant and grand ceremony all to themselves and to some 200 closest people to the heart of the first family.

Not Driving Just Yet

It seems that acquiring my driver’s license is holding up longer than I expected. I am very anxious to be more mobile and independent when it comes to going out of the house to do some grocery shopping or simply to go to the closest park for my son to play and take a leisurely stroll. I have just recently accomplished my biometrics for the renewal of my green card and it’s one of the reasons why driving by myself is not possible for the meantime as the DMV needs a government issued ID.

Anyway, I hope to get on the road confidently once I got my license for me to be able to enjoy the independence pretty soon. Other than that, I think I’ll settle on doing my shopping online since hubby is out to work. I sure am not looking for plus size clothing, though. My weight is down to 96.4 lbs and the size 0-2 is sometimes deceiving unless I take a look at the juniors department which either a right size but too short or the other way around. LOL!

A second cousin of mine sent me an e-mail containing a link to a particular YouTube video of a Filipina singing I Will Always Love You in BGT(Britain’s Got Talent). I thought for sure it was going to be an embarrassing one for a fellowman who dreams big. To my surprise upon watching the video she is actually doing well and I’m happy for her. I felt a bit sentimental knowing she is not performing at her homeland at all. Being a club singer that she is and as a mother, I hope she achieves her dreams. If you haven’t already please watch this video for you to find out.

Traveling around the world is one of the many benefits of becoming a flight attendant. It’s no wonder why a lot of girls get attracted to this kind of career. I can see how good it would be to get the opportunity of traveling to places or countries most people can only dream of. But becoming a flight attendant or being in a position must be a blessing since you can definitely go to different places for free.

If you are considering about going to a flight attendant school, the International Air & Hospitality Academy provides a chance for someone like you to get a flight attendant career in the future. Getting one is a great achievement I would imagine. Not only do you get the opportunity to travel abroad while making money as you get paid for it, it’s a great way to see places and different people of differing races to meet. This academy gives the proper training in order for you to get a career and the support that you really need so you get the job you want. For more information, please feel free to visit aha.edu or read the flight attendant blog at flightattendantschoolblog.com.

Casey took the vaccines pretty nicely. He only cried for a short time. As usual, his dad had him on his lap as I can’t really take looking at the syringe needles poke on his shoulders. He’s a little behind on his shots because of our vacation last winter but he is catching up on it. Next month he will have another appointment for the next regular 18th month check-up. Boy, he is getting bigger.

Although, he only gained 7 ounces since the last month’s weight check and I succeeded on weaning him. Once again, the doctor stressed out that he needs to take in some milk in other forms of food or products that have milk contents since we raised the concern that Casey doesn’t like cow’s milk. It’s important that he gets the nutrients from the milk that he couldn’t get from any substitute. Other than that though, he is on the right track of his growth chart.

Right after the doctor’s we went grocery shopping and got some good stuff paying attention on Casey’s needs. We got more baby yogurt for him. It would be interesting to find out if he is going to like milkshake since we bought him ice cream to mix with milk as what the doctor suggested. I just have to continue trying on giving him these kinds of dairy products just so he can keep up with the ideal required calories for toddlers his age. That’s pretty much it for today.

A Great Gift For Mom!

I wish my mom is here with us so I can celebrate Mother’s Day with her. It would be a double celebration for us since I am a mom myself already. This is my second year being a mother and it would have been nice to share the day with her by going out to eat or other things worth the day spending or to simply share what it’s like to be a new mom for me and as for her to be my mom. I think even if we are far apart, I could still give a great gift for mom! It’s an appreciation of how much I am thankful for being her daughter and that I have learned from her nurturing nature like I would be towards my own child.

For this Mother’s Day I will give her some Fill Me Up Vases. I think she would love them. It’s a good thing someone very creative made these unique vases. They are lovely indeed! Do you have something in mind yet to give your mom on her special day? Please do log on to jillable.com and find out for yourself these neat looking vases that I am getting my mom on Mother’s Day.

Happy Sissy

I chatted with my sister last night to tell her that the money I sent is ready for withdrawal. She is so glad to have heard the good news from me. LOL! She is just concern that my mom keeps nagging whenever she asks for money to follow up on her review enrollment. I can understand why and it’s because she is getting ready for her review and it does need some more financial support. I am all the time willing to help her and my brother but I want them to practice patience too when I am not ready to do it due to some financial constraints sometimes.

From time to time, when a certain Horror Movie catches my interest especially when there is a controversy behind it, I would find a way to see it by hook or by crook even I have to cover my eyes in some parts of it. Perhaps, for the most part of a really bloody and disgusting one I will be hiding myself under the chair. LOL! I don’t know why human beings love to be scared. Besides looking at oneself in the mirror, the other best means to be scared is watching a horror film like the Frontier(s) that is actually in theaters starting today, May 9th.

Unknown

If you love gore scenes and bloody actions in a scary movie, you will never be disappointed with this one. This movie is definitely a must-see because of its controversy in making it to the theaters being unrated as most are not. As you will in the website frontiersunrated.com there is a listing of theaters where you will see it. The closest one to me is in Boston or New York since we are half-way each of these states as we live in Connecticut. I would love to go see it either of the two theaters where this is showing.

Pediatrician Appointment

Today is Casey’s pediatrician visit. I’m sure he will cry hard again as he will get another vaccine shots. I hope he will get over the pain quickly like usual. We will do some grocery shopping afterwards too and if the hubby opens our golf range when the weather clears up since it’s raining this early in the morning. We might have to wait until he finishes giving a golf lesson to his student if it’s not canceled due to weather. I don’t mind staying there for a little bit perhaps less than 2 hours. We can stroll around the park while waiting, that is if the sky gets clear.

I realized how common it is in this country to send their elderly member of the family to nursing homes when their conditions need more than just home care. I have learned few things regarding such choice from my own husband whose mom had to stay in a nursing home years ago before she passed away. I know it can be tough to let go of the person you love especially your own mother or father out of your own care because you can never be too sure whether they are really treated well being away from you.
