I’m glad Casey is all better. He had a high fever for two days and I was monitoring him a lot since it’s the first time he got that high temp. The first one wasn’t at all alarming because after I gave him a dose of Tylenol he got better quickly unlike the very recent one which was really high although, I don’t have a thermometer on hand, I could tell from feeling under his neck and his forehead. Every time I give the meds his temperature didn’t seem to reduce reasonably at all. As what most of us here in my hometown would say, once a child his age (1 year old) gets a high fever that doesn’t seem to go away he must have a stressed muscle or “pi-ang” in our term. I wasn’t going to agree with my mom suggesting to ask our neighbor who is a “hilot” which is defined by Wikipedia as someone who practices chiropractic massage techniques. Sure enough, I had to give in just to give it a try as I am open to it knowing it couldn’t be that bad at all. I still kind of believe in such art of healing the Filipino way. His right arm’s muscle could be stressed for the reason that I have been holding him one arm a lot while I encourage him to take his steps until he gets used to walking already.
Thank goodness and Casey’s temperature dramatically lowered. I can’t be more thankful even though he cried hard while the hilot procedure was done. I did have to give him the last dose of children’s analgesic last night and as of today he is back to normal. What really makes me feel good too though is that even with the fever he doesn’t seem to be affected a lot like most kids that would more likely slow down and look really tired, but him. He still got all the energy hyperactivity.LOL. When you’re a mom, seeing your child suffering from an illness makes you wish you have it instead of him. That’s what I just experienced. For moms like me, I’m sure you understand what I mean. Isn’t it one of those moments you would do everything for the sake of your child’s health?
Every time hubby leaves the house for work, I see to it he doesn’t forget his rings. I too, don’t feel all comfortable when I forget mine whenever we go out to eat or to do some errands. We take our wedding rings off at home as I don’t prefer to wear any single piece of jewelry when I only lounge around the house so does hubby. There are times though that I feel like wearing my wedding ring when I miss how lovely it looks on my finger. I know there are people who believe that such a ring as the symbol of marriage should be worn all the time at any given place is important. There are people who are like us though, who only wear wedding rings at certain occasions especially going out of the house or attending a gathering or a party. Anyhow, we have each own personal reasons and preferences when it comes to it.
No matter what, I would always want it on my finger when I’m out of the house just so I will not be mistaken to be single or else someone might flirt around unexpectedly. Who knows, it’s going to be trouble. That’s my own opinion. LOL. How about you? Should you get married, would you wear your ring all the time or would you be like me or my hubby? To those who are now in marital bliss, do you have your ring on your finger at all? And, to those who have been in marriage for years, do you still have your wedding ring? Tell me about it.
When I first read this question I got a kick of it so I had to join in the ride. I did one for my hubby too and shared all about it to him. He’s the kind of person that finds things like this to be funny. It’s for fun, I know but I find it a little bit true somehow in the first few lines which hubby calls “It will hit you off the tee”. I wouldn’t be surprise others feel the same as you will see the later so-called “hidden meaning” of my name to be the same as others. Without further ado, let me share to you what mine says.LOL.
What Angie Means
You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic “Type A” personality.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life. You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone. Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don’t appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
Just a while ago, hubby informed me that our PC is acting up. It’s getting slow. I’ve been blaming myself the way it performs now. It must have been retiring or something after a couple of years’ use and abuse. Anyhow, I am suspecting it must be performing poorly because it might need a memory upgrade. I’ve been asking some friends as I am not at all a computer expert and someone has advice me to get it reformatted. I don’t have any idea what it’s all about. I am looking at the idea of getting an IBM memory which might help. Should worse comes to worse, I would get a computer professional to get it all fixed.
I am not sure how true this is, but it sure is fun to answer random quizzes at Blogthings for the heck of it! I just want to spice up this blog of mine after sometime of keeping it so boring. LOL. Anyway, have fun and and find out how brainiac you are too by answering the same questions. Have a nice one!
You Are a Total Brainiac
You’re amazingly brilliant. Some would even say genius. You’re curious, thoughtful, analytical, and confident.
You take on difficult subjects because you want to… not because you have to. No field of knowledge is too complicated or intimidating for you.
You’ve got the brains to do anything you want. It’s possible you end up doing everything you want.
It’s nice to know that there are people who are making it possible for those who have old cars to make a car donation in order to help kids and teens from all over the world. The people behind Car Angel do help. Car Angel is a non-profit company that utilizes car and boat donations to make videos for kids and teens. With over 2.4 million videos that have been given away, this kind of act is a good example to extend a helping hand. The money they raised is used for making videos like this particular one. It’s definitely a good way to help the needy children learn through these educational videos.
Yes, I am! My son Casey James turned one last December 28, 2007 and boy, is he big. It’s been a year since I had him. It feels like it was only yesterday when I first held him. It’s amazing how time flies, isn’t it? As a first time mom, I don’t feel like I have seen enough of his infancy. Babies do grow so fast I am already missing how tiny he used to be and how lovely it was to hold him while he is fast asleep. All he wanted to do was eat, sleep, cry and get changed. It went by so swiftly and now he is almost ready to run. He is getting so active all the time he can be all over the place. Because of his hyperactivity, he could get hurt in no time. I have noticed bruises I couldn’t tell the cause. Is this the prize of a boy’s mom supposed to get? LOL. Anyhow, skipping his pedia’s visit for a little bit due to our vacation is not at all that alarming. I just hope he is on the right track though since he is getting even pickier about food. Well, that’s another story. Here’s a glimpse of what happened on his birthday.
I can’t believe I am close to being 30. Five more years and I am 20-something no more! I used to like number 14 while I was in high school and that was like a long time ago now that I am past the teen years. I have read somewhere sometime ago that a person before reaches the age of thirty is still in the adolescent stage or something like it. Someone beyond that age is already and adult. Oh well, that sounds really great for someone like me. Later on, I will see myself complaining how painful it is to have some back pains brought by age.
Anyone will be just as surprised once fibromyalgia attacks. Just so you know, fibromyalgia is a painful rheumatic condition of uncertain cause that is characterized by diffuse or localized pain, tenderness and stiffness of skeletal muscles and associated connective tissue and that is accompanied by fatigue. Luckily, there is a good solution to this type of muscle pain and that is available at ultrapms.com. Now that I knew about this, I am not at all that worried in case this happens to me sooner or later. How about you? Are you experiencing such condition?
Hi, how have you been? It’s quite a while since the last time I ever wanted to tell you something about the happenings around here in my hometown while on vacation. Now, I have mentioned in my other blog that I’ve been very lazy in updating any of my blogs for the reason that my DSL is too slow for me to get all that excited about blogging everyday. Besides that, my right arm kind of giving up on this hobby. I just hope this isn’t serious. Hubby is thinking about having it checked by a doctor as soon as our son and I gets back in the states.
Anyway, I guess I’ll just try to awaken my blogging senses and be a computer-friendly yet again. I don’t want to regret later on after giving this up in an instant. I will try to get back on the groove as much as possible and to those who have been peeking in and out of this blog, I am so sorry for not being able to respond to your linking requests. I apologize for that shortcoming and esp returning your visits. I will make it up to you sometime. And, before I forget again and before another Christmas is here, let me greet you a late Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
Since I left the states and arrived here in my sultry homeland, I’ve been missing the snow. Yes, I do. People will think I’m crazy to feel that way, but I would say I’d rather prefer to bundle up than sweat and feel so uncomfortable due to the humidity of our place. Although, being in a cold and wintry place can really make you homesick after all. Anyhow, I am looking forward to coming back to the country I have already adapted. By the way, I think hubby needs Ingersoll Rand air tools at our golf shop this spring I’ve been told. His birthday is in May and that gives me an idea this early. That’s it for now! Have a great New Year everyone!
