Individual Health Insurance

I know how important individual health insurance is after having a baby. The hospital bill was tremendous. I can’t believe some people don’t have an idea how much it may cost to get hospitalized or having a baby in particular without the help of a health insurance. I’m so thankful for the hubby who worked on this matter in preparation to our parenthood just before we finally got pregnant. We would have had to pay the expenses out of our pockets and knowing that we don’t have the extra money to simply splurge on to some tens of thousands of dollars, it would be impossible for us to get by especially for some additional expense which is our child’s needs then.

On the Grilling Side

I didn’t know how much Americans love to grill until I came to the states few years ago. I realized a lot of people spend some holidays grilling. Most families have their own gas grills at the backyard. On holidays like the 4th of July, grilling is usually preferred along with other favorite cooking preferences.

Barbecues are sure fun to prepare and not to mention the cravings for hamburgers and hot dogs during birthdays and other occasions couldn’t be missed. A lot of people do love “cook-out” as it also brings a different ambiance in a certain occasion. I have been to a cook-out a few times and I love it. We had some corn, burgers and hot dogs, too. Eating out at the backyard while chatting with friends is sure fun and I guess that’s why grilling is loved by a lot besides the smoky flavorful foods that are easy to prepare. Get your own gas grill now!

We’ll Be Home Soon, Daddy

Only a few days more and Casey and I will be home. The hubby is getting so anxious he is preparing for our reunion after 3 months of being away from each other. I had told him to get Casey a toddler seat for he might not like the infant car seat anymore. It is supposed to be good until he is 30 lbs., but I can’t be too sure whether he will still feel comfortable in it. He might be too tall for it already. I made my last minute preparation yesterday by going to the city to get some cash for our trip to Manila as I have decided to stay there 2 nights before our flight back to NY.

The first leg of our trip from Manila to Taiwan is at 10:55 am that’s why I chose to book a hotel reservation at least for two nights before the 28th that is for ease rather than making it the day or night before so I can get some good rest and get all set for the long hours on the plane with Casey on the day itself. My mom will accompany us to the Manila and to NAIA which will make my life a bit easier anyway. While being on the plane with Casey for the rest of the trip will be up to me to handle. Yikes! It’s going to be another struggle, but as the hubby said, I’ll just count the hours backwards and before I know it we are already home.

After all, I made it coming here which is a longer trip compared to going back home. Oh well, I can’t help but feel sad knowing that leaving my family in my hometown behind once again is not at all pleasing as I will be miles away for another year or so. I have yet to plan on my next return to see them again. I’ll just be optimistic about it and I hope to make it in the coming year or few years from now.

Moving from one place to another is a pain in the neck. So far, since I came to unite with the hubby we made two moves already in 2 years. You will understand how much work it is especially if you’re the kind of person who likes to accumulate lots of things that in the end you’ll end up throwing because you realized they aren’t necessary at all. There are definitely several factors that you can’t avoid but to move to a new place. Whether it is for a better job opportunity or a lifestyle preference somewhere rustic or country, you will always think it’s the best to do for a better living.

Whatever people’s decisions are about moving, there are companies out there that will always offer the services anyone will need. National Relocation at nationalrelocation.com is one good company to call. They offer real estate, mortgages, and relocation services. If you’re considering an Illinois real estate, an Indiana real estate or an Indianapolis real estate, for example this is the place that will be able to assist you. Find out more about this great website and make your next move a lot easier wherever you may be in the country.

Weight Loss, Anyone?

There are a lot of people that are suffering from obesity. It’s just unfortunate that we all can’t lose weight quickly and there isn’t a single weight loss program that works the way we thought it should — fast and easy that is. One must exert time and effort in order to achieve the ideal weight that is considered normal. I’m glad I don’t have such an issue on weight, but it’s unpredictable because there are people who used to be really skinny and have gotten so big in no time. Being cautious when it comes to diet and lifestyle should be taken into consideration so to avoid problems that concern the health and weight in particular.

A So-Called Little Reunion

Today is the fiesta of a neighboring town here in my hometown and luckily, I have a good friend who was actually my high school and college best buddy who invited me over. Not that I am one of those eager fiesta goers at all. LOL. It’s one of those opportunities that I get to see some of my long lost friends and former classmates in my high school and college days. My friend’s 2- month old daughter was baptized this morning too and I was one of the sponsors. I gave her a present of baby wipes, feeding set, and bib which she will be using pretty soon and some breast pads for my friend since she b-feeds her babe. I am glad I was able to get something for her and the baby. I had a grand time meeting some of my best buddies for the first time after I was gone for more than 2 years since I got married and lived abroad. Casey was with me and my mom and I was proud to introduce him to them. I’m pleased to have had such a so-called little reunion with my friends.

To Light Their Path

I got a wedding invitation from a friend today and I am honored to be appointed along with another friend to light up the candles on their big day. I’m glad she will finally settle down. She is actually 3 months pregnant and she has a teaching job in a government school. As most government school teachers in this country are familiar with, getting a teaching job when you’re a single parent can be difficult. It’s one of the reasons that pushes my dear friend to tie the knot this soon since she just got the job less than a year ago. After all, it’s for the welfare of the baby as well and she and her boyfriend love each other. This will somehow give her life a better direction which is to have a family, work hard, love and care for one another. I guess she made the right choice and that with hopes and prayers they will help each other become good parents to their future kids. Anyway, fiber optic cables are available at cablesplususa.com should you need one.

Vegas, Baby!

One of the many places I’ve never been to is Las Vegas. How I wish I get the chance to visit there one day. I would love the see what it looks like and to witness how nice the city is with its bright neon lights at night. For most people, going to Vegas is to gamble for its where casinos are great places to hangout among gamblers big time or not. Vegas hotels must be nice too since a lot of tourists go there to enjoy their ultimate vice which is of course gambling. I am not a big fan of such, but I would be willing to give it a try for the heck of it just so I experience losing or winning even for a bit. How about you? Do you gamble at all? Have you been to Vegas? Please do share about your fun time.

Walking Casey

Today, Casey is officially walking. He finally gained the confidence to take his steps without the fear of falling on his knees. In the past weeks I’ve been anticipating the stage in which he will be walking tall. He tried many times, but he always wanted to be held and be guided as he takes his tiny little steps.

The waiting ended as he courageously walked around the park today where I took him. In the beginning, he was only pushing his stroller around. Yes, you heard it right. He got the idea of pushing his favorite ride because of the mail pusher that he has which is now going to retire. The hubby told me before that it might have been the reason why he couldn’t take his steps without having to hold on to anything. Oh well, not all kids are alike when it comes to progressing to the next stage in their development. After a year and a month or so, most toddlers could walk and Casey is no exception. He is 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and 3 days old today and he is walking! How happy a mom can be and I can’t wait to tell the hubby that the boy can walk at long last. Such a joy it is to see how your child grows, isn’t it?
