I actually baked siopao for the first time tonight or should I say baked and steamed half and half. They came out pretty good for a first try. If only I had ample of time without having to rush the procedure for dinner, I would have been satisfied of the outcome though. Anyway, I was quite confused which recipe I had to focus on as there are so many on the Internet. Oh well, it tasted close to the commercial kind which are still the best. I’m not going to give the recipe I tried because I don’t want to be blame if ever you didn’t get it right. I’ll get good at it next time and that’s for sure. Hubby thought I did great and they taste good.

For one thing, since after seeing or reading a blog that has a post about siopao yesterday I’ve been craving to bake and eat some too. Sounds funny, huh? I was just drooling over those photos showcasing the food that I’ve grown with in my hometown. I sure had eaten them few times during my vacation, but I am missing it this time being miles away again or perhaps years away again from eating them. LOL!

I’m not sure though if I could get one right away from some Asian store or restaurants. I know it’s nowhere near where we live now. I have actually printed the recipe last night and I’m looking forward to making it today when the hubby gets home. I have to get the ingredients in the store first of all. Oh well, I would love to have him try it too because I don’t think he had eaten siopao in his entire life. That’s all it for now, I have to finish my review on directbuy just yet. It’s so quiet here today.

I can’t get over it – the boy is on a good nap schedule. He doesn’t fuss very much about it anymore like he used to. Usually when he is supposed to nap, he gets distracted with so many things around him that it can get impossible for him to calm down and get some snooze time. Keeping a quiet ambiance and a cooler weather helps a lot though and I’m glad he is not too hard on napping any longer. He is on a good bedtime schedule, too. Oh, isn’t that great?

I went to bed late last night and it’s not something new. It’s simply hard to keep up with things you wanted to accomplish in a day when you have a little one that needs most of your attention. Anyway, the hubby went to a meeting and won’t be back until later before dinner. I do multi-task most of the time, but I don’t think being alone with this little guy makes me more productive. LOL.

A few days ago, the hubby handed me one of our new business credit cards. Its one thing I don’t really use because I know it can be tempting to splurge on things that aren’t that important. Of course we have the necessities and wants, but we tend to follow our wants instead of what are really needed. I just hope it’s a low interest credit card though. He told me that we will try to get rid of the other cards gradually. I know I will only use mine in times of emergencies. I talked to my sister this morning and saw her on the webcam. She’s going to be busy this week for the coming of their graduation day which is on the 26^th. I’m really proud of her for passing her final exams as I have mentioned previously. I am actually jealous that she will be a registered nurse soon – hopefully. I am also fulfilled as I have helped her in my own little way. Yay, I am excited for her!

Recently, I have been complaining how erratic Casey’s bedtime schedule has become. In the past week I made to a point of getting back to his bedtime routine which includes a warm bath and getting him ready for bed after a body lotion and putting his pajamas on him. I then take him in bed with the lights of and he clams down after a feeding. He doesn’t try to get out of bed anymore like he used to when he is still all hyped and energized to play.

I would highly recommend a bedtime routine to moms out there with babies or toddlers. It’s working! Casey goes to bed before 10 pm strikes in the previous nights which are pretty good for him already. He used to complain and still has so much energy when he was smaller in which he usually gets all set to go to bed at 11 pm which was terrible. LOL. Anyway, we’ll see what’s going to happen later on. I’ll keep you updated.
