Easter Hangover

I’ve been busy recently and I couldn’t believe how fast the days go by. Having a little guy who is getting to be a handful somehow keeps me even busier. The Holy Week went fast so was St. Patty’s day. Anyway, our weekend was spent mostly outside despite the cold. On Saturday, we went to the baby shower. We were almost an hour late, but made it anyway. It was a success after all. Last Sunday, we went to the church for the Easter Sunday mass and sure it was packed. We didn’t make it to the room intended for mass goers who have little kids. It’s kind of neat that the church here in our town has its own little room for moms or dads with babies or toddlers in tow in case they get unmanageable during mass. We look forward to trying that room next time. How was your Easter spent? I hope you had a great one!

Slow Day

Today was a slow day for us. Staying home when the weather is cold is the best thing to do. I had a terrible headache later today though but after taking an acetaminophen I feel better. We are going to NY tomorrow to attend the baby shower. Our present is all wrapped up which I did yesterday. We will have to get to bed at a pretty good time tonight so we can leave early tomorrow to see the family. I’m anxious for it and I hope it’s going to be a good one.

Get Treatment

One of the common problems we have for longest time in history is drug abuse. It sure has ruined many lives, families and future. That’s why it’s very important to get a drug treatment. Whether you may be the son or daughter of the richest man in the world or the less fortunate one among your peers, abusing the use of drugs is not the answer to your problems. There is always hope for those who want a better change.

Late Night Rant

As much as I don’t want to stay up late at night, it’s simply impossible to get on a reasonable bedtime schedule for someone like me. My son makes it hard for me to finish any housework on time. Today, I had done some cleaning in the house and did the laundry. I was able to take a shower too. He is getting to be a handful and is all over the place. He is becoming very responsive to our conversations though which is a good sign of development for him as he is learning to talk. Anyway, I don’t have all day to attend to him alone as I have some responsibilities. I may be venting here and there, but it sure is challenging.

Cracking Up

Two oysters walk into a bar. They are best buddies obviously who are out for the night to get some booze. One oyster say to a bartender, “Margarita on the rocks!” The other one utters, “I’ll have a screwdriver.”

I have never eaten fresh raw oyster actually, but after reading about the Be Oyster Aware website it makes me want to give it a try. Gulf oysters have some nutrition that humans can benefit from when consumed in moderation. I might eat them but I have to make sure I get them cooked though. That should make a difference. The Caveman in the Crib

Casey is getting so big. He has these antics we usually get amazed if not amused of them every time. I can’t believe motherhood is this fun (forget about the sleepless nights!) LOL. I must say parenting is rewarding and it may not be the job wherein you get paid, it’s very much fulfilling when you see how much your child has progressed and developed. The hubby has yet to find that article he mentioned authored by some writer who refers babies as cavemen in a playpen or crib. His point is that, as parents we have to civilize them so they learn. And that’s exactly what we have been doing to Casey.

Spring time is officially starting for this year. Sports minded individuals are sure anxious to see their favorite sports on television and in stadiums once more. The hubby is just one of them who loves baseball and his favorite team is the Boston Red Sox. I root for them as well, but am not all that crazy over baseball. I do watch their games with him though. I am happy when he is happy over his favorite baseball team’s victory just like last season’s.

Some people actually get into fantasy baseball online. Winning in a fantasy baseball league is rather challenging especially for the baseball enthusiasts. You have to be a good judge of talent. You have to be objective. Knowledge is one important factor and that you should obviously be savvy at baseball. And most of all you have to be lucky when it comes to picking your players. They can’t get injured or you can’t pick up any points. Just so you know the best software to have is the Fantasy Sports Prophet Baseball software. Today is our 31st month wedding anniversary. We went out to dine in one of the restaurants here in our town. I had chicken and broccoli Alfredo in my spaghetti while the hubby had cod fish in his penne with grilled red bell peppers. Yum! We had a good start until our son fussed. We didn’t actually finish our dinner and decided to take them home before the boy made so much noise in the restaurant. LOL. He was all good in the beginning while having his chicken tenders as we were trying to keep him entertained, but it didn’t last long. His gums were bothering him, I guessed. His molars and some front teeth are coming in that’s why he doesn’t feel all too well from time to time. Anyway, afterwards we headed to do some grocery shopping and that made our night.

Vacation Hangover

I’m glad winter time is finally going to end soon which means no more cold days and wearing of thick clothing. I’m glad I just had my 3 months vacation just when the cold days started was the time my son and I left the country. Well, he we are again back where we belong but at least we didn’t have the whole wintry months to complain about. Anyway, we’re lucky we don’t really have to stay here in the North during winter because the hubby loves Florida. He prefers to spend our vacations there every year. In fact, we had our first winter getaway together a couple of years ago and last year he went there alone while our son and I were in my hometown in a tropical country. I’m looking forward to our next Florida vacation this year though. All three of us are going and we will be staying in our vacation timeshare in Orlando.

During my first Florida visit, I had the chance to see the beaches and one of them is St. Augustine. There are obviously a lot of things to do in St. Augustine which we didn’t get the chance to get into since we only stopped by to take a good view of the ocean on our way to a marina where the hubby’s friend docked his yacht. We were invited for a week stay there and were able to experience what it’s like to live in a boat. We had a pretty good time and liked the opportunity a lot. When we get the chance to go to St. Augustine again, I would love to see some of the main attractions of the place like getting on a sightseeing boat cruise, visit some of the known museums like the St. Augustine Lightner Museum and lots more. It’s supposed to be a historical place and that’s what makes it very interesting. If you do want to go there, Trusted Tours & Attractions have some family vacation ideas that are definitely worth looking at. Whether you want to go to Florida to see the beaches or to California to see the San Diego zoo, Trusted Tours & Attractions should be able to help you to make the most of your vacation.
