The hubby is a big fan of Dunkin Donut whenever I don’t feel like fixing breakfast. So, when he is out to get the newspaper he also grabs breakfast sandwiches and coffee from time to time. It had become a routine one time when our boy was smaller and when we miss to do some grocery shopping. I like their sandwiches but I don’t think it’s a good practice to get them like everyday.
I’m sure you spend less money when you make your own breakfast or your own coffee for that matter compared to buying it from Starbucks or from Dunkin. Well, we only do it when we crave or something a little quicker to have anyway especially when we travel. Oh well, I’m actually waiting for one as of this writing since we don’t think we have something interesting in the fridge or in the pantry to eat. LOL! We will do our grocery shopping later today. That’s a promise. Now, if you will excuse me here comes my breakfast!

Yesterday was the 7th day since I started the weaning process for my son. I tell you, I thought the terrible phase was over that quickly, but just last night he cried really almost inconsolably. It was at least twice the whole night and I almost gave up. Since the 6th day and night passed without him nursing I didn’t want to confuse him why I had to do it and the next night was different. So, all I wanted to do was to implement that nothing has changed at all.
As much as I wanted to console him and make him feel better, I didn’t want him to get used to crying just to get whatever he wants in the long run. It should also serve as a lesson for him as he is growing up and be able to understand more. I can tell it’s harder at night. I know some mothers can attest to this and those who have done it slowly and more patiently might be happier. LOL! I thought a week was enough. I thought going cold-turkey is not what I’m doing, but it probably is. Nah, in a matter of month or so, things will be over. He will be all weaned. I just hope this breast engorgement won’t get worse.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for us. My biometrics schedule will be at 1pm. I wanted to get there early as possible so that we can do some errands afterwards. The hubby will be meeting with the contractor who is going to renovate the place we have in NY so we could start renting it out. I thought for sure the work is all done until I was told we have yet to pick out the materials and fixtures in IKEA that are needed to replace the old ones. How dumb was I to not ask about this matter after all. LOL! Well, it’s going to be a good chance for us to have an adventurous ride once again traveling to and from places I don’t really mind. I just hope Casey will cooperate. Usually he fusses at the end of the day when he gets all tired of sitting in his car seat. He is a good traveler most of the time though.

In the world of fad and fashion it is obviously centered on women. If not on clothes, handbags and shoes are mostly the ones that really make it big in the market. I can’t deny it, I love purses and shoes. When I don’t feel like wearing something nice, at least my handbag gets the attention. People for sure will notice baby phat purses as they are really stylish and have very appropriate colors for the spring season among other things especially those who are also handbag fanatics. Anyway, the reason that I’m saying this is that Kimora Lee has her own fashion line in which you will find shoes and handbags. They come really fashionable, hot, and not to mention sexy. If you are a big Kimora Lee Simmons fan, you know what it means to be like her so stop by now at babyphat.com to take a peek of her trendy products.

This update is a bit delayed after the 5th day update, so I’m just going to make it short and direct. The 6th day went fine. As much as I can remember, we just stayed home all day and he never fussed to ask for breastfeeding. He must have been disciplined to just play and get occupied with other things. I think it was the last night I had given him his last feeding. I thought for sure I was going to pursue the elimination of the night time feeding all completely but I was wrong.
I gave in because I was a bit tired and I didn’t want him to fuss and my breasts were a bit engorged with milk. I had applied a cold bottle of water since we don’t have the cabbage on hand which is suggested by most websites in order to keep the soreness or the feeling of fullness or keep the swell soften. That’s all about it. Pretty soon, I might be ending this report or update when everyday seems to be the same. Well, besides the occasional crying of my son whenever he remembers his comfort object that he is deprived of, he handles it pretty good most of the time that I would think.

Knowing that your child is thriving and seeing him grow so well is one great achievement of most first time parents. I am just relieved that our son is past the eczema attack which he had when he was only few months old and the second time just before he turned one. It’s one of those skin problems that a lot of Americans do suffer when season changes. Mostly during spring and the coming of winter, the skin tends to dry up and that’s when it loses most of its moisture, thus, itchiness and redness occur.
There are certain things you can do to actually lessen the symptoms and one of them is getting a humidifier. I think we do need one of those air purifiers too especially that I also have my own health issue. I had asthma and to purify the air in the house is one good thing to do. When everyone in the family is in good health, you can’t deny how good it feels. It’s exactly how I would like in a situation especially seeing my child overcome such a cumbersome skin problem. Now that he is all better, I can’t be happier.

It’s a shame that from to time I don’t seem to manage my time well enough. Everyday isn’t always the same. I meant to do an update of the weaning daily report, but then I run out of time and I still think getting some rest and a little break from blogging is more important. I do care about my health and getting enough rest is just one way to do it. Although, I’m not really good at it I manage to fool myself that I am just fine. LOL! Anyway, I sure will get back to business when time permits. My daily report will continue in just a moment.
