I have no idea how far along the renovation is in our condo that we are planning to rent out next month. I don’t really ask the hubby about it because he will eventually tell me when it’s about done or open for renters. I’m sure the contractor have at least fixed the bathroom already and got the Grohe faucets installed. I heard the shower needed a replacement too so I would guess it’s also been done. I hope it will be ready soon so we can start making money with that place. It will take time though before we can get the money back that we spent for repair and other expenses to update that place.

I can’t believe how fast time flies. Casey is another month older. He is 18 months and 1 day old. Every 28th of the month we greet him a happy birthday. It seems like his temper tantrum is starting so early. Instead of calling it the “terrible two” we call it the “terrible one year and a half” for him.
He has this temper when he doesn’t get his way like yesterday when I took him out for a walk at the nearby playground. There were kids playing and he wanted to join but he is too little compared to them. So, when he got close to the group I had to get him out of their way to avoid the kids who were chasing a ball.
Anyway, he refused and ran away from me. He gets mad when I decide to put him back in the stroller. He loves outdoors but I just don’t feel up to running after him when he would go farther. Well, when he gets bigger I would eventually let him especially when he is old enough to understand why there are restrictions even when playing outdoors.
Oh well, he is growing fast and I miss those baby days of his. But, I am just as glad to see him becoming more and more independent. It’s a joy.

In today’s demands, not everything in life we get easily — we have to work hard to get them. From buying the furniture we like for a newly bought house to starting a new business, everything! These days, with the help of the rent to own industry, anybody who wants to acquire a store can make his dream come true in the long run by checking out on rent to own stores. Not only that, even internet savvy people can get a rent to own web sites too. Isn’t that something?
By the way, what is rent to own? This $6.8 billion industry is budding in American economy. It all began in the 60s when certain consumers needed to use household products and couldn’t afford them but didn’t want to end up in debt that would have ruined the credit of the family. These people are the so-called “rent-to-own customers” are anybody that comes from all walks of life with desire to own goods for their homes without having to worry about financial obligations that could last forever on their credit sales.
With renting, interest is not an issue as the consumer is not charged and there are no credit checks necessary. What’s good about it as well on the consumers’ part is that they can return the products anytime convenient for them. Not only is it easy and safe, consumers can avoid any hassle associating replacements, repairs and deliveries which are included without cost. How cool is that!

It’s been a while since the last time I actually participated in PhotoHunt. Now that I get the chance to take pictures more seriously, I could post photos that are appropriate to the themes which in one way or another inspire me to hone my photography skills.
This lamp says it all. It’s ‘bright’. It was taken in Foxwoods Casino and Resort Grand Pequot Tower. We didn’t gamble at all. It was only a one night stay for free just so you know. Happy Hunting!

Being a stay at home mom, I didn’t want to be left out of what the Internet has to offer. I know someplace somehow on the web, there’s ample of information as to how to make money while staying with the kid. As much as I would love to get a job of my own and help the hubby with the bills, I thought perhaps working outside is not all worth it. Leaving a child to a sitter’s care at a very young age is not the smartest thing to do for a first time mom.
Besides that, if I will only be making a minimum pay at a job I would be working for the very first time and the money will only go to the babysitter’s fee for that matter. It will somehow turn out I am not really making money after all unless of course I make lots of it in a very sophisticated career which can be impossible for most people these days especially for a first timer like me.
I decided to stay home. I made the wrong decision. Not. I can still make money. Did you know? When I first discovered blogging, I thought for sure it was only an outlet of my opinions, a diary of my daily happenings, family and what not. I made friends and expanded my network and find enjoyment in it. I didn’t realize it can be rewarding as well when I learned from blogging friends of mine that SocialSpark will let bloggers make money on their blogs.
That had come to my attention and read about the whole thing. I am now happily earning while watching my kid at the same time. It’s like hitting two birds with the same stone. I don’t have to pay a sitter so I can make money. I am babysitting my own child while I can make money. So, if you’re a mom like I do — staying at home for the kids doesn’t hinder you from moneymaking. Be a revenue generator as well by working online through blogging for SocialSpark!

Help! I still can’t decide which lens to get first (100mm macro or 50mm for portrait?). I want to get everything I want all at once but I don’t want to get broke. LOL! I have to be wiser. I need more convincing and I have yet to educate myself. I just can’t have all of them just because I think I need them. I better weigh things out and check to see if I really got the time to do more with photography. I know once I have the right gadget I will prioritize the kind of photography I really want to get serious with. Perhaps I will get the macro lens first while there are plants and bugs around this season and before they are all gone to be my subjects. Whoaah! Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Amazon delivers fast. Their sellers ship fast too. I’m happy I got a couple of the stuff I have posted on my Amazon wish list for my birthday. A friend of mine got me the tripod and the hubby made me order the crumpler camera bag. I know he’s kind of silly about that. I actually had done the shopping online for myself for his present to me which was no surprise at all. That was the purpose of having a wish list, right? Spoiled or unspoiled surprises, no biggie! I am thankful for these people to have contributed their part in making my wish list all checked out one at a time. LOL! For those who didn’t know about it, see you in Christmas! Hahaha

One night, the hubby brought something home. They were boxes of salt water taffy given by a friend who just got back from their vacation in Virginia Beach. I never had taffy before but I learned something about it from Food Network. I am a big fan of sweets but recently I just slowed down on it. I don’t think I have the same craving as I used to when I was younger. Well, these boxes of taffy look really interesting to me so I gave it a try. Okay, I love candies but not this sweet. It gives me a sore throat. LOL! I know it’s an old time favorite of many especially those who grew up where taffy was first introduced.
The gooey sticky consistency of it just doesn’t attract me at all. It can get messy you know. I do love to have some of it from time to time, I must admit. But to avoid the discouragement from its sticky characteristic I thought perhaps I could pop them in the freezer and when they are a bit frozen I can eat them neatly. Bright idea! I enjoy it better and it still melts in your mouth. I know it’s strange but that’s just me. For those who doesn’t know what taffies are, here’s a definition I got from Wikipedia.
