The Daily Matters

When I was a little girl going to school was sure fun. It was a challenge as I was always a shy girl. Making friends was a bit difficult. I didn’t have the ideal self-esteem to really socialize so I must appear a bit unfriendly but deep inside I was coy and naïve. As far as I can remember bringing my pack lunch was a way for me to finally make friends as some of my classmates stay in school for lunch especially those who didn’t’ want to come home for it because they live far from school or their parents aren’t home to prepare it. So, I was one of them since I had to walk I would not have preferred to come home on lunchtime. That’s the way it was in my childhood and in my hometown. In fact, that’s still common these days. It’s great to reminisce those childhood days, isn’t it?

Well, on the first day of school it was unavoidable to lose track of your newest school stuff — crayons, pencils, notebooks, rulers, pencil case and even your lunchbox. Well, maybe not your lunchbox if you really know what’s inside and if you don’t have a classmate with the same one you have. It would be ideal to label them so it will make life easier, don’t you think? If I were to go back to that particular day I would love Color labels for my school stuff so I know they were mine. You know, some kid might claim my pencil is theirs because it looks just like her own that she lost. That would make two kids fight over it. This school year, if your child is going on his first day in school, don’t forget to make his life a lot easier. Don’t forget to use a Dymo to label everything he has. It will definitely help him like school and be more interested in learning, not looking for his pencil!
