Some of you may be wondering why I haven’t updated this blog in the past 4 days. Our last weekend was pretty busy. As I have mentioned, we were preparing for a golf tournament for a cause specifically for the Alzheimer’s Association in which my husband is one of the members of the committee. We volunteer annually and even if we live in another state, we still help the organization that is based in NY where we used to live. Well, the tournament was a success again. It was the 10th annual golf tournament and the weather was a blessing.
It’s usually that nice and sunny. By the way, it was held in Hampshire Golf CC in Mamaroneck, NY as usual last Monday which is a pretty good course. I actually made the scoreboard but didn’t keep the scores as Casey and I had to go to his cousins after lunch because we didn’t want him to be all over the place when he gets bored and wants to play at the vicinity which is not ideal for kids. He was the only toddler around so it was a good idea for us to get out of there. All in all, it was a cool experience once again on my third time.
The dinner would have been the highlight for me that I missed for sacrificing (Casey and I went out of there after lunch you know
) as they have all kinds of good food and the raffle draw with lots of goodies and prizes as well as the silent auction. The hubby bid on a $3000 worth of Bradford Renaissance Portraits Gift Certificate which we will definitely use for our family portrait anytime this year. It seems like a pretty good buy.
Well, we stayed in our condo for two nights and took advantage of it while it’s not rented yet instead of driving too early on the day of the tournament or staying in a hotel. Although, we didn’t really sleep comfortably as there’s no single piece of furniture there at all. We only brought some comforters for the carpeted floor as our bed. We then drove back home Tuesday morning. It’s always a fun drive but the unpacking part is not my favorite. LOL!
