Let me tell you what happened on my on-the-road skills test before I acquired my driver’s license. Actually, I felt like I could have done better. Well, I am glad I made it and felt so relieved that it’s finally over. I don’t have to be nervous anymore about getting a license or waiting for road test for that matter.
The inspector was trying to be nice yet professional. He did refuse to smile and I guess he realized I was nervous. Although, I thought I acted a bit strange. Well, while in the DMV I was patiently, nervously and anxiously waiting for my name to be called. I got there at 4:00 p.m. and my schedule was 4:30 p.m. I had plenty of time to relax but that went by swiftly. I was called in. The inspector told me to open the window down and to listen to his instructions. First and foremost, he had me turn the car’s park light on. Boy was I nervous I thought I already got a demerit from taking a bit longer. I was nervous you know. I didn’t even think I got the right turn of the switch. I did the left and right signals unknowingly. LOL!
I did turn the headlights without being told. Hehehe. Those made me feel stupid from the very beginning. I thought for sure that was all over and that ended my day badly. So, he asked me to turn around the DMV building and headed to the traffic. We went to a residential street and he asked me to make a K-turn. Then we went back to the traffic and there I made a mistake of cutting the left lane too soon which I noticed and thought it was a demerit. Fortunately that was the only one in the end. I did a perpendicular parking right and then drove back to the parking space at the DMV with the nose of the car going in first. Well, I just made it in between the lines at that last part and it was over. The inspector told me I passed and have to wait for my name to be called inside for my picture to be taken and for my license. Wow! All I could say to the inspector was, “Thank you very much!”.

I love diamonds. I like them on my rings in particular. You can definitely pick whatever stones you like. But, diamond is the most common choice of gemstone for engagement rings. Anyway, I don’t know why but diamonds are girls’ best friend. It must be the way those stones glitter. I like them sparkly and big, you know. You’ve got to love them in bracelet or necklace too.

Winter is just around the corner. I’m glad we won’t be here the most part of it. We will likely be avoiding the snowstorms that usually take place early next year in this part of the country anyway as we will be traveling down south. I think travel insurance would be good to have for people who are traveling a lot.
It would be a good assurance for the family that will be left behind should worse comes to worst or when accidents happen. Oh well. I am just anxious about going to Florida this winter. I hope everything goes well. And yea, I can drive now, too. The hubby doesn’t have to worry about getting tired on the road as I will be his back up.

I’ve been pretty laid back in the past weeks on my blogging. Well, the pressure I shouldered while waiting for my on-the-road skills test schedule in acquiring a driver license affected it I guess. I finally got my driver’s license and couldn’t be happier. I will not get bored again like I used to when all I could do is stay at home and watch my son.

Anyway, I meant to post weeks ago about a reward that I got from one of the advertisers of SocialSpark namely the Cabin Cuddler. I was one of the bloggers who they thought did well on posting about their product. So, I am proud to have received such a gift from them. In fact, here are a few photos of the Cabin Cuddler that I like to use especially that it’s getting cooler each day. I am confident that this product will definitely satisfy a lot of customers. Thank you Cabin Cuddler!

Our son is funny. Well, he is learning a lot each new day. We just find it amusing sometimes when he plays pretend. Just like today, he pretended he was reading his story book. He’s going to be 22 months old on the 28th of this month. He read the book like a big person imitating me, I guess. Wait until textbooks are in front of you son. They are more fun to read, I must say!

Whoaaah! Thank goodness gracious I made it. I am officially driving. LOL! Yea, I got my license to drive yesterday and I thank God for answering my prayer. And of course, with confidence and determination I was able to achieve my goal in acquiring one. Actually, I am glad the driving school allows their students to use their car for road tests since the hubby preferred to stay home and watched our son. We did have to pay for that hour like a normal driving lesson charges and it was all worth it.
My driving instructor picked me up and we arrived at the DMV with plenty of time. We were there 30 minutes early and just showed the registration of the car and the insurance ID as required as well as the note that I got after passing my knowledge test a month ago or so. Well, I’ll tell you more about the test itself on my next post. This is exciting!

As we most are informed, the economy is not doing well. And this affects a lot of people including you and me. In my family, we do find ways to cut our spending. We don’t eat out as much as we used to. We all know it costs more to dine out than cooking your own meal. You will definitely save a lot when you make home cook meals. It doesn’t have to be complicated. There are simple recipes you get online so, that’s what I do from time to time besides cooking what I already know. Other than that, we do make sure when we go out to do errands like grocery shopping we have to plan ahead on what else we could do while we are out in order to save gas.
There are obviously many was to cut spending which would make a long list and can vary from family to family. Even as simple as buying my hubby’s eyeglasses online at zennioptical.com and have it delivered instead of driving to the pharmacy or to an optical clinic/store will also help us cut the spending on gas and saves us time and effort as well. By the way, this store is amazing as they carry affordable eyeglasses and not to mention a top notched quality. If you’re looking for stylish yet functional pair of specs or eyeglasses this is the best place online to get them. It saves you time and money, too.

The day of my scheduled on-the-road skills test on my driving is coming really soon. Time flies and I cannot believe it. LOL! Anyway, I feel that I am ready for this and I hope I get to remember the things that I need to remember on that day. I needed the confidence. There’s no doubt about it being the most important thing to consider when it comes to driving and of course to top it all of, presence of mind and being alert while on the test or on the road in general are very essential in getting a driver’s license. I sure am praying and hoping for all of these to come together that day. Oh well. The 23rd is the day. So be it.

My desktop looks like it’s going to retire soon. I see signs of its screen having some sort of streak where used to be on the upper left horizontally but not all the way through. Now, it’s on the bottom just over where the tabs are minimized and it extends from one side to the other. I don’t know if that makes sense but its right down there if you could picture it out. LOL!
I could take a screen shot but I am using hubby’s computer this time. My computer is doing some anti-virus scanning as of the moment. I hope it’s nothing serious though, but I guess that’s how computer LCD monitors aged. It’s only been a 2-3 years old. I’m not sure what causes that streak.
I have to do some research about it before it’s going to die on me. Do you have this kind of problem on your computer LCD screen? If so, is there a solution to this or is getting a new one the best thing to do. Honestly, it’s not bothering me at all just yet. I just wonder if this is only a sign that someday it’s going to blackout completely and needs replacement. That’s just my guess.
