The Daily Matters

I have no idea how long it took me to come up with this layout. It sure is time-consuming. I am the kind of person who doesn’t get satisfied with my own work and I always think I am not creative enough to make even a single layout. I just keep changing everything. Silly me! Anyway, this weeks theme is son or daughter. This is Casey James — my 7 months and 2 week-old son. The photos were taken a week ago. The one during his baptism and the other one when we went out for a walk.

I am not really patient when it comes to scrapbooking. I don’t have much time to be more creative that’s why I love Quick Pages. LOL. I hope this one qualifies. By the way, this photo was taken a little more than two years ago when I left my family in the Philippines. This is the last picture of us together. Hopefully, this year when I come to visit them we will have another family picture. Doesn’t that sound exciting?

Every parent thinks their child is the cutest. Oh well, that’s your own flesh and genes and no one else can ever say the nicest words to describe your own child but yourself. I don’t care what other people say. It’s for a fact that we tend to dislike other peoples’ kids so do other people towards your kid/s. I love my son and I think he is the cutest. LOL!

Last Saturday, we were invited to a baby shower for my friend Marilyn. We drove to New York early in the morning since it usually takes 2 hours depending on the traffic. I brought Casey his lunch and fed him in the car while moving and fortunately he ate pretty good. We made good time and came to the restaurant where the venue of the party was, 15 minutes early. Everyone seemed to came at about the same time. I met other guests and most especially the celebrant. It was the first time I saw her belly in person. I only saw her once with the tummy on the webcam before as I was eager to see her pregnant. Marilyn is very pregnant already and the next time we will see each other again she will be mothering a baby. Her expected due date is in the middle of September. I just wished her and her hubby all the luck. I hope she will have a smooth sailing journey from labor to delivery. We were glad to have attended the party and I was also happy to have handed her presents for her to open after the dinner. She got good stuff. With our distance now, I just don’t know when we are going to see each other again. To Marilyn and Michael, good luck to parenthood!
