One of the major concerns that most people are very much updated is to keep safe their social security numbers to prevent identity theft. Since I came to America and acquired my social security card, my hubby has been all the time reminding me to take care of it and make sure to memorize my number so it comes in handy when needed without having to look and show my card unless it’s necessary. It’s safer that way in order to avoid the chances of losing it and might end up at someone else who could be stealing identities.

It’s amazing that after posting about my latest camera, it appears that most of the searches for the keywords that relate to it my post come up mostly on the first page of the Google search engine. Wow! Speaking of which, most of my traffic comes from that in the past days and I can see it in my blog stats in Wordpress that I have installed. I have other popular posts as well which also contribute to search engine optimization.

Whatever the secret is, I guess I just got it on the bat. I wish I have enough time blog hopping though to maximize this blog’s full potential. I guess I will keep on talking about the latest in technology and such so as to keep up with what is most popular these days on search engines that people more likely lookup in the internet. For now, I better search on silk bedding so I can take a good night sleep somehow.

On Mother’s Day, the hubby got me a scented candle that has a ceramic shade. I don’t know why he thinks I love candles, but it seems to be his favorite last resort gift to buy since I told him he doesn’t have to get me flowers as they will only wither and die I don’t really enjoy them a great deal. LOL! Anyway, I would much enjoy a piece of diamond jewelry (kidding aside). Well, he did get those antique diamond wedding set of rings of his late aunt that he inherited which he asked me to keep. I wanted them to fit on my finger so I can wear them on special occasions. So, that became a practical present I appreciated.

I have been quite lazy in the past two days missing some updates here although I was online the whole time. I just didn’t feel like writing anything while some opportunities are pending. LOL! Sometimes you just lost some interest and waste your time at something else. Anyway, I have some assignments to do and deadlines to catch up with. I think I have to work on my other blogs as well. I have to try to get back on track at updating them more seriously so I won’t be sorry later on if I get too passive at giving them attention.

It seems that acquiring my driver’s license is holding up longer than I expected. I am very anxious to be more mobile and independent when it comes to going out of the house to do some grocery shopping or simply to go to the closest park for my son to play and take a leisurely stroll. I have just recently accomplished my biometrics for the renewal of my green card and it’s one of the reasons why driving by myself is not possible for the meantime as the DMV needs a government issued ID.

Anyway, I hope to get on the road confidently once I got my license for me to be able to enjoy the independence pretty soon. Other than that, I think I’ll settle on doing my shopping online since hubby is out to work. I sure am not looking for plus size clothing, though. My weight is down to 96.4 lbs and the size 0-2 is sometimes deceiving unless I take a look at the juniors department which either a right size but too short or the other way around. LOL!

I wish my mom is here with us so I can celebrate Mother’s Day with her. It would be a double celebration for us since I am a mom myself already. This is my second year being a mother and it would have been nice to share the day with her by going out to eat or other things worth the day spending or to simply share what it’s like to be a new mom for me and as for her to be my mom. I think even if we are far apart, I could still give a great gift for mom! It’s an appreciation of how much I am thankful for being her daughter and that I have learned from her nurturing nature like I would be towards my own child.

My hubby dear used to give me flowers and since the last time I had told him not to give me anymore on any occasion. I mean, I love the thought and the romantic sense of it. Who on earth wouldn’t want to see such gesture of expressing ones love as giving flowers on special or ordinary days. Every woman appreciates just the thought of it and not minding the kind of flowers unless you have a particular favorite you would have a different view on things.

Well, as for me I do admire the beauty of flowers’ natural designs, colors and the beauty in its entirety. But wouldn’t you want those characteristics last longer on its place? I am talking about the place where they are nurtured and loved with passion may it be in the garden or simply in the wild. Another reason that I decided not to receive flowers anymore is practicality when it comes to expense. I know you don’t necessarily get the most expensive bunch, but thinking that it costs you some money and to think flowers wither and die sooner or later in the vase, I don’t like to think I or my hubby wasted some bucks on it just for a passing eye pleaser. And besides nothing can really measure ones love towards a person and material things or money are out of the picture.

We have different views or opinions on this matter and this is my own. I am saying this not because I am against people buying fresh flowers, but it can also be applied to interior decorations. A lot of people these days opt for faux silk plants which in one way or another help preserve our environment and its natural resources. That’s why I would consider silk plants or flowers to be decorated in the house, offices, rooms or malls. Obviously, they can last a lifetime compared to the real ones. Silk foliage makes sense to me for interior designing and accenting a boring room transforming it to a lovelier and livelier one while saving some money and saving mother nature at the same time.
